Noor describes Liberation War as glory

    Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor has described War Liberation as most significant and glorious chapter of Bangali nation and has called for upholding its spirit to build a prosperous Bangladesh. “War of Liberation is our pride as we achieved an independent Bangladesh through nine-month long bloody war,” he said on Friday afternoon while inaugurating a memorial built at Domar High School in memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives during War of Liberation in 1971. At the inaugural function, Noor said the anti-liberation forces are still active to make Bangladesh as a failed state through resorting to conspiracy. But the people of Bangladesh led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will resist their conspiracy, he added. Noor urged the pro-liberation forces to work together for building a developed Bangladesh in line with the spirit of War of Liberation. Lawmaker Aftab Uddin Sarker, President of Nilphamari district unit of Awami League Dewan Kamal Ahmed, general secretary Momatazul Haque and officials of local administration, among others, addressed the function.
