Abrar Hussain:Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad reportedly visited road crash victim Diya’s house yesterday and demanded death penalty of the bus driver that killed two students on the capital’s Airport Road.
He later told reporters that he assured the family of financial assistance, reports Banglanews24.
“When I was the president I enacted a law for the punishment of road accident. Later, this law was nullified, and changed into life term imprisonment amid movement.”
On July 29, two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College were killed after a speeding bus, driving recklessly, ran over them on Airport Road of the capital city.The deceased were identified as Abdul Karim, 16 and Diya, 15. Twelve others were also injured in the accident.
