UNB: The High Court on Thursday directed government to free space of Shishu Park in Khilgaon B-block in the capital illegally occupied by Ansar-VDP within 90 days.
Besides, the HC ordered to renovate the park situated on two bigha land as a modern one. An HC bench of Justice Sheikh Hasan Arif and Justice Md Badruzzaman came up with the order after hearing of a writ filed in the form of public interest litigation. Chief executive of Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (Bela) Syeda Rizwana Hasan stood for the writ and deputy attorney general Mokhlesur Rahman for the state.
