Kabir Humayun: The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) yesterday said some online portals are circulating false and motivated news about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over the ongoing students’ movement.
The PMO issued a press
release undersigned by PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim in this regard in the afternoon, reports The Daily Star.The release said that a vested quarter is spreading baseless and motivated news in different online portals in a bid to shed a negative light on the premier.The news are being spread in the social media in order to confuse the students participating in the protests demanding road safety, it added.
The PMO has urged all to stay cautious regarding such fake news.
