President asks JSC to complete recruitment process of judges

    President Abdul Hamid today urged Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to complete the recruitment process of judges for the vacant posts within the stipulated time with a view to decreasing case backlog in the judiciary.

    The President said this when a Judicial Service Commission delegation, led by its chairman Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, submitted its Annual Report -2015 at Bangabhaban here, President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.

    During the meeting, President Hamid advised the commission to take necessary steps so that qualified candidates are recruited in the judiciary.

    Abdul Hamid laid emphasis on expanding the activities of Land Survey Tribunal to speed up settling the land-related cases at the grassroots level. The delegation apprised the President of various aspects of the report and overall activities of the commission.

    They also informed the President that the commission has updated the syllabus of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission Examinations.

    Secretaries concerned to the President were present.
