Sabah Mannan: A case has been filed against a bus driver for running over the leg of a car driver on the slope of Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover in old Dhaka. The accused is Kabir Mia, the driver of luxury coach company, Green Line Paribahan Limited, confirmed Jatrabari Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Azizur Rahman, reports Banglanews24.com, adding, police sought a five-day remand for him.The victim is 23-year-old Russell Sarker, who was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with severe injuries following the accident and later shifted to Apollo Hospitals. The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon when Kabir, in a bid to establish dominance on the road, ran over Russel’s leg after the latter alighted off his car, severing his leg from the knee.Afterwards, Russell’s elder brother Arif lodged the lawsuit against Kabir as the lone suspect.
