The Bangabandhu-1 satellite is confirmed to be launched in April this year. The launch was supposed to take place on the last week of March, however, the launching agency did not confirm a date so it was pushed back to April. Project director engineer Md Mesbahuzzaman said the satellite will be launched from Florida, USA in the presence of a 30-member representative team from Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Information and Communication technology (ICT) Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy will be leading the team.
