I don’t know if we will be able to rebuild our house again or not! My husband lost all his hope and is walking around like a mad man! I told him everything will be fine again. He looked at me straight into my eyes with no faith in them at all.
But I believe everything will be alright when we see things through the eyes of faith. God is always bigger than any problems.
All our belongings are underwater now! My daughter was supposed to get married next month. But they cancelled the wedding. Who wants to marry a beggar’s daughter? We are no more than beggars right now! After this devastating flood it will be even more difficult to get some food! We have just been surviving here for the last 7 days! My husband bought rice from the money we were accumulating for our daughter’s wedding. My younger daughter is crying continuously because she lost all her books! Her crying is giving me the biggest heartache. Neither my elder daughter nor I learned to read in our entire lives! So I promised my younger one that somehow I would buy all her books again. She didn’t believe me, so I showed her my only gold nose pin that I will sell and said; “Your mother is still alive and mothers are strong enough to fix anything!
