BNP afraid of joining electoral race as people rejected them in national polls

Prof Apu Ukil speaks to DOT :
People rejected BNP in the 11th parliamentary polls. The world has seen that BNP suffered a crushing defeat. That’s why BNP is now afraid of taking part in the upazila council and Dhaka North City Corporation elections.
BNP’s conspiracy was foiled as the 11th parliamentary elections were held in free, fair and impartial manner. As a result, AL, a pro-liberation force, won people’s mandate and formed government again. BNP tried to grab state power through hatching conspiracies. However, people foiled the conspiracy.
BNP has now realized that it is not possible to come to power through a back door. You will have to win people’s mandate for coming to power. However, people rejected BNP. That’s why they are now afraid of going to the people and announced to boycott elections.
Anti-liberation force and war criminals contested the 11th parliamentary elections with the symbol

‘sheaf of paddy’. As a result, ‘sheaf of paddy’ has been identified as an anti-liberation force. It has now become clear to BNP that people do not want to cast their votes for an anti-liberation symbol. BNP is now afraid of going to the people.
