Sheikh Tonmoy becomes AL sub-committee member

Sheikh Sarhan Naser Tonmoy—grand-nephew of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and nephew of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina—has become a member of Awami League’s Publications and Publicity Sub-Committee, reports Dhaka Tribune.
The decision to include Tonmoy as a committee member was made during a meeting of the Publications and Publicity Sub-Committee; at the Awami League president’s political office in Dhanmondi, in the capital, yesterday morning.
Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud—also Awami League’s publications and publicity secretary—said that Sheikh Tonmoy and three others were included as members of the sub-committee.
Sheikh Tonmoy won the Bagerhat 2 parliamentary seat in the 11th general election held on December 30 last year.
