DOT Desk: Students and teachers of the music Department, and invited singers from India and Sri Lanka will perform at the festival, reports The Dhaka Tribune.
A two-day long music festival will be held at University of Dhaka’s Teacher-Student Centre on January 27-28. The DU music department organizes the festival as part of its regular academic curriculum at the Jatiya Press Club on Tuesday.
Vice-Chancellor of DU Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman will inaugurate the event as chief guest, reports UNB. Acting High Commissioner of India in Dhaka Dr Adarsh Swaika, DU Pro- VC (Academic) Dr Nasreen Ahmad, Pro- VC (Administration) Professor Muhammad Samad, among others, will attend the ceremony as special guests.

The honours student, who graduated as the top scorer of the class in 2017, will be given Nilufar Yasmin Memorial Scholarship. Besides eminent music personalities – late professor Mridul Kanti Chakrabarty and Madan Gopal Das – will also be remembered at the festival.
