The people have a lot of expectations from the new government in the new year. It will be a great challenge for the government to implement its election pledge.
Making Bangladesh free from corruption is one of the major challenges the government has on cards. The government has to take effective measures to eradicate anomalies from the sectors affected in the society and the state. Showing zero tolerance will be the best choice to this end. Implementing the policy will be of great use.
Good governance has to be established in the society and the state. The outcomes of development have to be taken to the doorstep of the country. Good governance has to be ensured at every step of the society. If the country suffers brain drain and waste of property due to lack of good governance, it will thwart the pace of development. It is not possible to maintain development in the individual, social, political and economic levels, keeping good governance struggling. It also hampers the efforts to create and maintain social harmony.
Hence, good governance is a must in every. BNP now must join the office by making sure its elected candidates represent in the House. It must bolster its organisational structure. It suffered the election debacle due to its organisational and structural weakness. It failed to read the mind of the people.
Right now, Jamaat is an unregistered political party. The court has termed it a terrorist organiastion for its anti-Liberation War role. I feel the law minister can take further steps against it. Let’s see what he does about this.
