DCs holding meetings to rig polls, alleges BNP

    The BNP yesterday alleged that the deputy commissioners as per the Prime Minister’s instruction are holding meetings with the field level officials to take preparations for vote rigging, reports The Daily Observer. “The DCS who are also the returning officers are hatching a conspiracy. They are making a blue print to ensure Awami League candidates’ win in the upcoming general election,” said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
    He came up with the allegation at a press conference at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office.

    The BNP leader also alleged that the administartion and law enforcing agencies are preparing to hold a farcical election as per the master plan of the ruling party.

    “According to competent sources, we came to know that the DCs had meetings with the UNOs in their respecting areas on Sunday. The DCs gave four directives to the UNOs to ensure the win of the ruling Awami League candidates,” Rizvi said.

    Demanding recast in the public administration and law enforcement agencies, the BNP senior leader also said that a free and fair election is not possible with previously set ones.
