Doubt whether people will be able to vote this time as well

Badiul Alam Majumdar speaks to DOT :
Right now, being able to vote at all is the biggest challenge. This is because many were unable to exercise their voting rights in the last election in 2014. Even in the recent City Corporation elections, many people could not vote. So the concern whether people will be able to vote this time around is justified. This is why I believe that our foremost responsibility is to ensure voter rights.
And not only for this election, we have to ensure this for future elections as well. We want the freedom for people to exercise their voting rights and the establishment of a government mandated by the people. If this is accomplished, it will resolve a lot of our problems.

If the people’s will is guaranteed, the political parties are bound to transform. They will bring reformations into the party, which would greatly benefit the politics of our nation and will establish and make effective our democratic institutions.
