Prof Dr Abul Barakat :
The wholesale criticism over defaulted loans is not fair since it will send a
negative signal to the
people. As a result, the
businesspersons who are not deliberate defaulters will feel letdown.
We badly need industrialization. We are working for the infrastructural development. We are working for electricity, roads and flyovers are being constructed. This will not bring any good without industrialization. The infrastructures are being constructed as base of future industrialization. It will send out a bad signal to them if the potential industrialists feel demotivated. That is why, we should talk dispassionately over national issues.
You can categorize the defaulters into two groups- voluntary and involuntary defaulters. It is easy to take action against the voluntary defaulters. We should understand the involuntary defaulters, their problems.
Many of us survive from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Now if an industry owner who is an honest person goes through the similar situation, what will you do being a doctor?
Should you kill him by giving injection or try to save his life? We should consider the issue the same way.
