The second South Asian Youth Summit – 2018 would begin from November 28 in Sri Lankan capital Colombo.
The organisers in a press release said this year the three-day summit would be held with the global theme of ‘Creating a Sustainable Future in a Fractured South Asia’.
International Youth Committee will host the summit as they believe the development of the SAARC nations depend largely on the opportunities provided for the youth and in the building of their skills, in order to use them in a timely.
The summit will also create an inclusive platform for youth that enables them to review the progress of share ideas, experiences and innovative approaches for effectively contributing to the Global Goals for Sustainable Development framework and its implementation.
Dr.Biren Sikder, the youth and sports State Minister of Bangladesh, Kamal Sadat, the minister of youth of Afghanistan, and Rajavardhan Singh Rathore, the minister of youth and sports in India, among others, would join the summit to be attended by a total of 450 delegates from over 80 countries. From Bangladesh, our Country Ambassador Md. Palash Mahmud, SAYS Ambassador Sharmin Nahar Lina & Deputy Country Ambassador, Edris Ali will be present at SAYS 2018.
