HC rejects Khasru’s writ against ACC

    Kabir Humayun: The High Court yesterday rejected a plea of BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury challenging an ACC order directing him to be grilled over money laundering and illegal dealings.
    The HC bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice KM Hafizul Alam passed the order,reports Banglanews24.com.
    Barrister Moudud Ahmed moved for Khasru while Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan moved for Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), at the courtroom.
    The hearing upon the appeal began on September 11.
    On August 16, the ACC sent a notice directing Khasru to appear before its headquarters in Dhaka’s Segunbaghicha on August 28, to be questioned.
    Khasru then sought one month time.
    Meanwhile, the ACC summoned him again, issuing another notice.
    Khasru later filed a writ with the High Court, challenging the ACC order.
