Had Bangabandhu been alive, per capita income would have been $ 4000

Prof Dr Anupam Sen, social scientist, Vice Chancellor of Premier University:  The assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is an irreparable loss for the nation. The scars left the killing of Bangabandhu will never heal. We will be able to reach our expected development goals within a very short time if we can follow in his footsteps.
Had the Father of the Nation been alive, our per capita income would have been $ 3000-4000 today. Because the way he organised our economy was simply amazing. It is only possible for Bangabandhu to achieve progress and development, fighting against all odds.

Bangabandhu took over the responsibility at a time when the country was ravaged by war. The successive rulers like Ziaur Rahman and HM Ershad could not attain the growth, which Bangabandhu did for a war-ravaged country.

This makes it abundantly clear that Bangladesh would have achieved phenomenal progress today if Bangabandhu had been alive. Bangladesh achieved many things during his short regime.

It usually takes much time to draft constitution for a country. Bangabandhu presented us with an excellent constitution in just nine months. It was only possible for a great person like Bangabandhu.

Bangabandhu was a man who devoted his life to the welfare of the people. There is much doubt if the world will have such a person, such a great leader ever. We should imbue ourselves with the spirit and ideology of Bangabandhu. We will always try to follow his examples and should never deviate from his ideology.
