Asian Age: The newly-built four new blocks and a temple have been inaugurated at the Matihar Hall of Rajshahi University to provide more facilities for the hall’s residential students.
RU vice chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan inaugurated the newly built blocks and temple at the hall. Later, an inaugural ceremony held at the hall dining room where Professor M Abdus Sobhan addressed as chief guest.
RU pro-vice chancellor Professor Ananda Kuamra Saha, pro-vice chancellor Choudhury M Zakaria and RU Puja Celebration Committee president Prof Kamal Krishna Biswas addressed the ceremony as special guests with the hall provost Professor Md Ali Asgar in the chair.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, vice chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan said that they were trying to provide as much facilities as they can to the students of the university to improve their academic and extracurricular activities.
Emphasizing upholding the tradition of the university, he also urged the students to play a greater role in building a developed country promoting the spirit of the Liberation War and free thinking.
