HC asks Cumilla court to dispose of Khaleda’s bail petition

    Sofian Khan: Cumilla special tribunal was asked by the High Court (HC) for disposing a bail petition as soon as possible filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in a case filed in  Cumilla over the February 3, 2015 arson attack.
    The hearing was passed by a bench comprising Justice Md Shawkat Hossain and Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman after hearing a petition filed by Khaleda Zia in the case.
    Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossain stood for Khaleda Zia while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam accompanied by Deputy Attorneys General AKM Amin Uddin Manik and Moniruzzaman Rubel represented the state.
    Before this, Earlier, the HC adjourned till yesterday the hearing on a bail petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the case.
