Imran Hossain, Patharghata, Barguna: In the coastal areas, fishermen are taking preparations for catching Hilsha fish from the alongside rivers and from the ocean. Due to constant raining and the rainy season, the Hilsha-season is ahead; for which some 22 thousand the fishermen from the coastal area are spending busy time fixing nets, repairing fishing boats and ships to go in the sea. As a huge amount of Hilsha fish were caught last year, it seems that the fishing villages are excited this time. The preparation is going on full rhythm even by taking loan. Also the owners of fishing boats are not sitting idly. In different areas including Patharghata Fishing Port, at least more than three hundred new fishing boats are being created by fishermen, local sources said. All of them have taken preparations to go in to the sea this year.
