Being an Astronaut is fun. But, thousands of miles away from Earth, in the dark sea of emptiness may feel haunting at some point. Things often get Mundane with regular activities for the Astronauts who has been long in a space-ship. Unless you are Matt Daemon on Mars growing Potatoes in unrealistic conditions with a bad disco song playlist.

Thoughimagine relaxing on a Friday night and watching a moviefloating in space. Not on some big screen movie theater, but watching it by a65-inch screenHD projector at International Space Station (ISS), that was intended for at Mission Control conferences, may sound really epic! Just last year, some astronauts came up with idea to install this huge home-theater set at the ISS, for better video calls to their families back home or to touch base with Mission Control. But many took this advantage to watch movies.
Scott Kelly posted the first pictures while watching Gravityand twitted, “#Movie night in micro #Gravity aboard #ISS on our new HD projector which we use for conferences, tech software, etc..” About which Wired writes, “Its home theater set-up puts most of our terrestrial TVs to shame.”

Stephanie Schierholz, a NASA spokesperson, tells Wired, “Every crew can request and have delivered on a number of cargo vehicles (as the cargo allotment permits) a contemporary collection of DVDs for their viewing enjoyment. TV and films, along with books and music, are important aspects of psychological support for astronauts on long-duration missions.”Gizmodo recently published long range of list of over 500 movies and TV shows that are available to astronauts on the ISS. I wonder how awesome it would feel to watch the Alien floating alone in space.
