Ninja Gaiden composer Keiji Yamagishi announced on Twitter on Tuesday that he is “working on a new project related to Ninja Gaiden.” He later apologized for the confusion and clarified that the “new project does not relate to a new video game.”
He also said that he will be able to share more news about the new project in July.
The most recent spinoff game, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, shipped in March 2014.
KOEI Tecmo’s Team Ninja, Keiji Inafune’s company comcept, and Spark Unlimited collaborated on the game. Spark Unlimited shut-downin 2015.Fans can just have their fingers crossed right now.
