5 years ago, the urban legend and rumors that people’s fat was extracted from real human bodies for making cosmetics for high-end brands became true. However, it was not exactly the reason or use for human fat. Gangs in Peru were caught by the police because they were selling people’s fat to European manufacturers of cosmetics.
The culprits admitted to killing 5 farmers in total even though it was assumed that the number was a lot higher than that. They used to eye their preys on the streets and lured them into the abandoned and empty jungles by offering them jobs. Each of the victims had their limbs amputated. Of course the organs were missing and torsos were hung and candles were placed beneath them so that the fat would melt and drizzle into the pots and pans for collecting them. They sold $9000 per litre. Apparently, you might be using cosmetics with human fat in them. However, doctors have said that if these cosmetic companies are really in need of human fat, they can just ask the hospitals who carry out liposuction surgeries and have enough fat that goes to waste. These companies need not go to such lengths to kill people for something that is abundant and not illegal, even though gross.
