An ordinary, above twenty individual, Duncan Kyle faces life crisis when one night he falls through his apartment’s floor to an unexplored land, Malkuth. There, he finds a cynical Sphinx and her unseen caretakers as the only living beings attracted to warm blood. The Sphinx assures him that the only way out to is by passing ten worlds; the ten emanations of Sephirot.
Along his journey, Duncan confronts a savage huntress with the only motive of either making love or taking his life; an aged woman refuting that it is only a dream from his illness; a scarlet-robed judge who accuses him of black magic and denounces him to be whipped or executed; some compassionate people who tries to help him survive this grave-like, bottomless pit before the sun goes down and the place turns into hell-fire.
Throughout all this miseries, his only constant companion is his own wit to stay afloat. Keeping up with his unwilling desire to continue his way to the next portals is Duncan’s sole mission.
