French Film Festival to be held in Philippines

    French Embassy in Philippines, in association with the Alliance Francaise de Manille and Cebu, French Institute and the film development council in Philippines will launch the 21st rendition of the French Film Festival in Philippines. The Ayala Malls Cinemas, SSI Group, Inc., and Central Square also have their hand in the progress.
    This festival has been going on for the last 21 years and the audience every year exceeds more 15,000. Philippines hold this festival to bring about the diversity of culture, language and cinema.
    This year, they will screen up to 17 French films made between 2014 to 2016. It will be publicly displayed in Manila from June 8 to 14 at the Greenbelt 3 Cinemas and the Bonifacio High Street Cinemas. During Independence Day on June 12, the festival renews its tradition of putting the spotlight on Filipino films through the screening of two local films that have been featured at international film festivals in France: Lawrence Fajardo’s Imbisibol and Carl Joseph Papa’s animated film, Manang Biring.
    This year’s edition presents a line-up of 17 French films, released between 2014 and 2016, to be publicly screened in Manila from June 8 to 14 at the Greenbelt 3 Cinemas and the Bonifacio High Street Cinemas.
