The second version of Portugal Film Festival will begin in the country with more than 70 films in the queue. The films will be screened in more than 500 cinemas. Tickets will be sold at 2.50 euros which is 2.83 dollars.
The festival will last for three days. The initiative is taken up by PortugueseAssociation of Cinematographic Companies (PACC) and is assisted by the Institute of cine and Audiovisual (ICA) who expect about 250,000 viewers who will attend the festival.
FilomenaSerrasPereirra, President of ICA said in a statement that more than 200,000 viewers attended the festival last year. She also said that the main theme of this festival is to celebrate cinema and the social act of going to the cinema.
