A movie is being made based on Kevin Kwan’s novel that was written in 2013. The “Crazy rich Asians” will be shot in the locations like Singapore. Chinese-American filmmaker Jon M. Chu has shown his enthusiasm in making the film.
It shows the lavish lifestyle of the ultra wealthy people living of Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai where an American born Chinese woman meets her high class Singapore boyfriend’s family for the first time.
According to a report in Straits Times, Chu said that he is very excited about the film. He plans to shoot it in Singapore.
He is also the maker of the super thriller movie ‘Now you see me 2’, which will open in Singapore on June 16.
Chu, who was born in Singapore, said that he wanted an equal cast of Singapore, Hong Kong, Asian Americans and mainland Chinese stars.
