Juste la fin du monde has won an award and its proud maker has come home as a winner. He won the prestigious second-place Grand Prix at the 69th Cannes Film festival. Xavier said that he can deal with criticism but the Cannes criticism is the toughest. He said that he is really proud of his film and that critics have helped him improve a lot. Xavier refrains from reading American criticism because they don’t understand the movie. The young filmmaker in the tender age of 27 has made films that have claimed awards.
He became teary while accepting the award and said that as he is growing up, it is becoming more difficult for him to make people understand his visions but knows who he is.
