Summer might be the best time for kids to go out and let loose! With all the technological advances booming up, even kids as young as 3 or 4 are addicted to watching cartoons or playing games on phones or computers. This leads to the requirement of parents having to put extra effort and tine into making their wards be engaged in more physical activities.

    1.Do not be a hypocrite.
If you are constantly telling your children to get off their gadgets and rather participate in outdoor games or any physical activities while you yourself are locked onto your screens all the time, they are never going to take your words seriously because you are their role models. Active parents have active children.

    2.Improvise
Look at things that are lying around and show kids how to make use of those objects. For example, if you have cardboard lying around in a corner, build a fort with your kid or search up fun things you can do with cardboard and make sure you let your kids have an active participation in the activity.

    3.The good old things
Try making your kids try out the old and golden things you used to do as kids. Take them cycling or fishing, fly a kite, go by the beach etc. What you liked as a kid might also be liked by your offspring when they get off of their screens and idiot boxes.

    4.Be creative
If you know that your child likes something, for example scavenger hunts, make an event out of it for them. Or do something as simple as easter-egg hunts. Hide chocolates or books or whatever excites your child and hide them with little hints in little envelopes. The aim is to be yourself and be creative based on what they prefer!

    5.Good Ol’ Sports
There is truly no fun beyond bonding with your youngster over a good game of football or whatever sports or games you both end up liking. This not only makes them look forward to be more physically active, but also makes them want to voluntarily spend time with you which lead to a healthy relationship.
    6.Camping
Most kids love going out and build and sleep in tents. The idea of an adventure and outdoor BBQ-ing is intriguing to them and a family event out in the wild away from the city chaos is refreshing and enlightening.
    7.Never force anything
However it is important to notice if they actually are enjoying or not and acting accordingly. You should never force them to do anything because that would definitely kill the fun in it which would lead to the ultimate goal being lost. So emphasize on what they like and want and support them.
