But her calling in life – being a model – won over her passion for fixing the plumbing and she joined the hundreds of young women entered a televised contest, which was aired on national TV.
Only 20 promising contestants went through to the final round, one of which was Anna. The finalists were presented with the chance to become a TV presenter at the local television station if they won. For three whole months, preceding the final, the young women were filmed for the reality TV show- Pre-Pageant Reality Project. The show made them take classes in order to learn how to walk on the runway and how to pose. They also taught them special modeling techniques that would come in handy if they wanted to win the contest. The final show was attended by over 3000 people and had a “caterpillar turning into a butterfly”. The runaway was decorated with many butterflies and the models got the chance to show off their newly learned skills. The judges also asked the models some general knowledge questions to test their intelligence. In the end, the plumber girl was crowned the winner. She won a car gifted by one of the sponsors and also a modeling contract from a local agency.
