CHOTURVUZ started its journey in 2011 with Amit, Saif, Abir and Nahin. They started very young. Since, they were in school, classmates at Engineering University School and College.
Which one of you came up with the idea of forming a band?
Abir: “Well, all of us had the passion of doing something with what we love. Firstly, it was only four of us. As we got better and was offered to perform. We felt the necessity of a bassist. We found Rafy soon after, to professionally start our musical journey. Amit had to leave us last year for different interests. We wish him best of luck. Nadib replaced him. He is our newest vocalist and is a great addition to the band.”
They first started off with café or stage performances with cover songs. After further fine-tuning they started creating their own stuffs. To play in the live concerts and shows. The band’s first official song ‘Bullet erHahakar'(Titled as ‘Bhoy’ in the album) was released in the mix-band album ‘DAAK’, under the ‘CD Choice’ banner in 2013. Last year
Rafy mentions, they had a little bump around our HSC exam year (2014). But currently, they are very much confident in their skills as a team. Few shows and concerts on hand. But they are sticking more with practicing regularly and working on their first debut album.They successfully have starteddemo recording for this studio album on their 5th year’s anniversary, on 11th March.
Lastly Abir said, “Please keep us in your prayers. We hope to contribute more to the Bangladesh music society.”
