Two minor children drowned in a pond at Zugipukuria village under Patkelghata thana of the district on Thursday. The victims were identified as Shuva,5, daughter of Saiful Sarder and Shuvo,4,son of Shariful Sarder of the village. Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of atkelghata thana, said the children slipped into the pond when they were playing on its bank near their home.
