People build the world every day. There are many countries such as developed, emerging and developing countries. All of them are doing their job by developing or upgrading the environment. But new complications stem every day, and they are natural. The structure of the universe creates new problems and solves them. NASA sent to Mars a rover named Perseverance. In future, people expect to live in the Mars, which is approximately 54.6 million km from Earth. On the other side, there is a pandemic called Covid-19 in the world. Day after day, the condition is worse. We faced many obstacles every day and conquered many problems sometimes. But the sorrow that we cannot or cannot think to develop any of the problems exists. Street Children were one of the most unpredictable issues in the world. Have they served their rights? Who is responsible for their circumstances?
Children are a state’s asset. Unfortunately, many children in Bangladesh live on the streets. The majority of them do not have a place to live. In a nutshell, they are homeless. Poverty forces them to live on the streets. They must perform a variety of unappealing tasks in order to survive. They are also exploited. As a result, our country lost an asset and destroyed its future. However, the government is trying to improve the lives of children. Fortunately, several non-governmental organizations are also involved in this effort. The United Nations plays an important role in ensuring the rights of children all over the world, including Bangladesh. The UN provides our country with their full assistance in developing the rights of roadside children. The UN Convention on the rights of children addressed issues such as health care, living standards, schooling, and so on. In this difficult situation, the UN has given the best possible assistance to our refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar. UNICEF makes an effort to educate refugee children.
We cannot doubt the United Nations’ unwavering love for us. However, in my opinion, the UN should focus its attention on the entire country of Bangladesh. But for the refugee camp, we did not receive as much assistance as we should have. Our street children are not developing or are developing in a very limited way. There is no UN-affiliated educational institute in Dhaka to educate street children. An open institution is not ideal for providing a good education. The UN should create at least one well-funded institution solely for the benefit of street children. There is no health care center in our country for street children or the sick. The United Nations may pay attention to these aspects of our country because it is a developing country, not a developed one. The United Nations also stated regarding the standard of living. Nothing has been developed to improve the quality of life for street children or disadvantaged people. There are even other questions that the UN would like to address. Not only is the UN responsible for growth, but so is the government. The government is solely responsible for the plight of street children.
The government must take the requisite measures to protect the rights of street children. However, by adhering to the UN convention, we may state that the UN should pay more attention to our street children. It would be a boon to developing countries like ours. Their interests would be protected if the UN pays more attention to them. There might not be an increase in the number of street children in our country.Children are a blessing to our country, but street children are a curse. If street children are granted their citizenship, they will not be considered a curse. We cannot reduce the number of street children. We should make street children assets by ensuring their rights. Since we are a developing nation, only the government can protect their rights. If the United Nations responds completely to our country’s street children, their rights will be protected. If street children receive adequate schooling, health care, and a decent standard of living, they will not be exploited. They will be an advantage to us in the future.
