Mahfuzur Rahman Khan, the cinematographer of numerous famous movies such as ‘Srabon Megher Din’, ‘Ghetuputra Komola’, ‘Aguner Poroshmoni’ is now battling death in Green Life Hospital in the capital. He is currently on life support. His condition is now quite alarming. We will perform a city scan after his condition improves, said duty doctor to the journalists.
Earlier, on Monday night while eating dinner the cinematographer suddenly coughed up blood and became very sick. Later his relatives brought him to the hospital, reports Daily Bangladesh.
Mahfuzur Rahman Khan was born on May 19, 1949, in a aristocratic family at Hakim Habibur Rahman Road in Old Dhaka. As a professional cinematographer, he worked on his first film in 1972. He has worked with film directors like Alamgir Kabir, Alamgir Kumkum, Humayun Ahmed, Shibli Sadik.
He won the National Film Award nine times, Bacchus Award eight times, and Meril Prothom Alo Awards for one time in a special category.
