Director Mostafa Sarwar Faruqi, who posted a long post expressing his anger, said, “I saw the news of BUET just now. My throat went dry. We are all making this society, or not? If it contradicts my opinion, it is my holy duty to eliminate it. All of our socio-political-religious leaders have been working together for so many years, thus it created such a generation! And this abolitionist mind has been created in the intellectuals’ workshop of Bengal!
So I curse you!
I curse those who have brought our society to this place where classmates are beaten up for saying unfavorable talks!
I curse!
Because I have nothing to do, except to curse! ”
In the wake of this incident, there has been a demand for banning politics in the educational institutions. Many have opined onside and against it.
