The killing of BUET student Abrar Fahd has sparked outrage across the society. Many of the cultural personals have given various types of analysis as well as claiming justice for the incident. Their anger was found on social media.
Media personality Abdur Nur Tushar has given multiple statuses on Facebook. He wrote, “Intense hatred … a curse. Those who kill their brother are the worst of animals. Unbearable, ugly politics”, reports Desh Rupantor.
He further wrote,” make the children of politicians compulsory to attend the country’s universities. Then terror can be stopped to keep children safe. ”
On Monday night, music director Prince Mahmud wrote, “Abar Fahad was a student of the highest institution of the country. He also got a chance to study at Dhaka Medical. Before going to bed to sleep at least make a protest. Our kids are growing up too…”
Director Mostafa Sarwar Faruqi, who posted a long post expressing his anger, said, “I saw the news of BUET just now. My throat went dry. We are all making this society, or not? If it contradicts my opinion, it is my holy duty to eliminate it. All of our socio-political-religious leaders have been working together for so many years, thus it created such a generation! And this abolitionist mind has been created in the intellectuals’ workshop of Bengal!
So I curse you!

In the wake of this incident, there has been a demand for banning politics in the educational institutions. Many have opined onside and against it.
Producer Mahmud Didar writes, “This is the lesson of politics of murderous, insane, murder!” The craving for power has led to the fact that ” Be a murderer? ” This all-consuming student politics is becoming more and more a staple of the killer’s production.”
