Two pop-up books by Shirshendu launched

    DOT Desk: Pragati Publishers launched two pop-up books based on horror stories by famous Indian Bengali writer Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay at a programme held at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Sunday, reports The New Age BD.
    The books namely Nishi Kobrej and Kogramer Madhu Pandit have been published to encourage reading habits in children, said speakers at the book launch.
    Pragati has been publishing children’s books for the last 18 years.
    Unmad Editor Ahsan Habib, also advisor of Pragati Publishers, was present as the chief guest, while planning editor of Financial Express Asjadul Kibria and Pragati Publications CEO Solaiman Parsee Faisal were present as special guests at the book launch.
    ‘Pragati always tries to publish children’s books following innovative designs. I wish them success and urge all to buy the books,’ said Ahsan Habib.
    ‘Now-a-days children are not interested to read books. We need to encourage reading habits in children,’ said Kibria.
    ‘We have been publishing children’s books for the last 18 years. Our children are the future leaders of the country.
    So they need to develop a healthy reading habit,’ said Solaiman.
    The books will be available at the upcoming Ekushey Book Fair-2019.
