Rahat Islam of DOT : BNP candidate for Dhaka-3 constituency Goyeshwar Chandra Roy and 30 others were injured after an attack by unidentified criminals during his campaign in Keraniganj area yesterday evening.Goyeshwar, also a standing committee member of BNP, sustained injuries in his head and as of currently writing this report, undergoing treatment at Kakrail Islami Bank Central Hospital. Aminul Islam, personal assistant of the BNP leader, told The Daily Star that the other injured were also undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
He cited that a group of miscreants carried out the attack around 6:00pm when Goyeshwar and his party men were carrying out the campaign in Chunkutia area, injuring at least 25 BNP men, including Goyeshwar.
