Doctors at a programme on Saturday said that total knee replacement by specialists is now possible on low cost in Bangladesh, reports The Daily Sun.
They claimed that such surgery was carried out in BRB hospital in the capital recently. They came up with the statements at a press briefing at the conference room of BRB hospital. They said a plan is underway to make the treatment more feasible. They deplored the fact that Bangladeshi patients spend a huge amount of money every year to undergo such surgery abroad. Chief executive officer of the hospital Dr Altaf Hossain, head of business development Mizanur Rahman, anesthesia specialist Chanchal Kumar Debnath and others spoke on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO of the hospital Altaf Hossain said they are working to improve the standards of the treatment out of corporate social responsibility.
