Election Commission Secretary Helaluddin Ahmad announced that the commission is considering slowing down the internet bandwidth on polling day on December 30.
Internet bandwidth will be readjusted to normal level after 4:00pm.
Ahmad was briefing officials about election result management at the Election Training Centre (ETI) in the capital’s Nirbachan Bhaban yesterday.
Meanwhile, Chief Election  Commissioner KM Nurul Huda urged officials not to make any mistake while counting votes and announcing the result that might lose people’s confidence on the commission.

He mentioned that the commission has been considering suggestions given by the political parties and their candidates, reports UNB.

“Be cautious that a single mistake does not lead to thwart the election process,” he warned officials.

ETI Director General Mostafa Faruk and its Director Forhad Hossain were also present at the briefing.
