Bogura’s Kahalu upazila chairman and Jamaat leader Mawlana Tayeb Ali and five leaders and activists were sent to jail on Wednesday in a case filed under the Special Powers Act. District and Sessions Judge Naresh Chandra Sarkar passed the order rejecting their bail prayers, reports The Observer. On October 3, cocktails were exploded at two places in Kahalu.
Later, upazila Awami League general secretary Abdul Mannan filed a case with Kahalu police accusing 22 Jamaat leaders and activists and 70 other unnamed people.
