ACC team raids Amir Khasru’s Hotel Sarina

Arafat Hasan: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has conducted a raid at Hotel Sarina, owned by the BNP leader Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, reported the daily New Age. A team led by the graft-body director, Kazi Shafiqul Alam, started the raid yesterday morning, which was still in progress when the New Age published the report. “We are investigating allegations of illegal amassing of wealth against him (Khasru),” Alam told Bangla Tribune. “We came here as part of our probe into the allegations,”

However, the security manager of the hotel, Ahmedur Rahman, denied the report of raid, saying, “No officials from the ACC came here; we don’t have any such information either.”
