RU admission test through MCQ method again

    Desk Report: Rajshahi University (RU) has canceled the written test in the entry test for the 2018-19 academic year admission seekers and the university authorities have decided to take the examination in the multiple choice question method. The Pro Vice-Chancellor said, “The entry test will also be done in the MCQ method. In each of the five units, 32 thousand students will be seated on the basis of results. Besides, the opportunity to apply for the second time admission test is over after this year. Earlier in the second meeting of the sub-committee on July 22, the Pro Vice-Chancellor had told to take the examination in MCQ method. Based on the results, 16,000 students of every unit were asked to participate in 100 marks written exam. Asked why the written test method is canceled, the Pro Vice-Chancellor said, “The decision was made by the sub-committee of the admission test.
    Today’s decision has been taken at the meeting of the main committee of the admission test and this decision will be considered final.”

    He said, “When taking the entrance test for the admission, every unit will have a fee of Tk 300 for all the subjects of the unit, Tk 60 and 10 percent service charge will be charged per unit.”

    The opportunity for second time admission test will be given in RU. “Now, 2016-17 and 2015-16 academic year students will be able to apply here. The admission fee will be made primarily by submitting Tk 55 online from September 1 to September 10. On the basis of the results, the applicants will be given the opportunity to sit for the examination of 32,000 candidates per unit. However, there will be no second chance for the 2019-20 academic year,” added pro-vice-chancellor.

    Unitary faculty are:

    ‘A’ – Faculty of Arts and Fine Arts;

    ‘B’ – Faculty of Business Studies and Institute of Business Administration (IBA);

    ‘C’ – Faculty of Science and Engineering;

    ‘D’ – Faculty of Biology, Geology and Agriculture;

    ‘E’ – Faculty of Social Sciences and Law and Education and Research Institute.
