Sofian Khan: With dem-and of immediate release of BNP chief Khaleda Zia, a sudden procession was carried out by the party leaders and activists, led by its Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. The procession was brought out in Kalyanpur of the capital during the wee hours yesterday.
According to BNP Central Executive Committee member Prof Aminul Islam, the rally was brought out demanding release and proper treatment of Khaleda Zia.
The rally was accompanied by over one hundred leaders and activists of Dhaka Metropolitan West unit BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and several other associate bodies of the party.
“It isn’t any announced program. The party chairperson is in jail. Therefore, we are protesting (it). Anyone can hold a protest rally anytime and anywhere. It requires no announcement”, said Rizvi.
