SPBN added to PMO’s security

    A Special Security and Protection Battalion (SPBN) unit of about 700 personnel was added to the existing security arrangements at the Prime Minister’s office yesterday morning.The unit, led by an Additional DIG of police, started working from 9am.
    Officials at Dhaka said the new unit would work in coordination with SSF (Special Security Force) to ensure security of the PMO.
    Earlier, the members of this specialized unit had been deployed at Ganabhaban, Prime Minister’s official residence since its inception on July 5, 2013. A number 200 of SPBN members are currently stationed there.
