Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has requested her party men who became contested as ‘independent candidates’ in different constituencies to withdraw their candidacies for the upcoming general election. In a letter, Sheikh Hasina made the special request to the ‘rebel candidates’ to withdraw their candidatures in favor of the candidates of the grand alliance for the sake of holding an inclusive election.
The AL president also requested the ‘rebel candidates’ to work with grand alliance candidates so that grand alliance can win the national election, reported the Daily Sun.
