No shame

” Brigette, I’ve been out of work for 3 mths and just got a JOB OFFER today (the first since I’ve been unemployed). The compensation is fair, but there are a LOT of red flags. From the employee reviews I’ve read online, it doesn’t seem like the leadership treats the workers very well.
The salary would provide me and my family with financial stability, but I’m worried about having to work in a potentially toxic work environment. What do you think I should do? ”

    My Response:
Accept the offer. But don’t settle there. Keep sending out resumes and networking. It’s only for the short term. Do what you have to do to survive.
You mentioned financial stability and that is necessary.
Plus it will help close the employment gap and the best time to search for a job is when you already have one.
Sometimes you just have to take a minimum paying job to get by. No shame in that. I have been there too. Forget image and what others may think. Just do what you have to do to survive.
