Desk repot: A man was killed over seeking lent money at Abdar village in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district on Friday afternoon, reports the Daily Observer.
Deceased Habibur Rahman, 38, was a resident of the village, said Sreepur Police Station sub-inspector Syed Azizul Haque.
Quoting locals, the SI said one Humayun Kabir borrowed Tk 500 from Habibur some days ago.
This afternoon Habibur locked in an altercation with Humayun over the lent money. At one stage, Humayun hit with brick on Habibur’s neck, leaving critically injured, the OC added. Later, he died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. The body was sent to the hospital morgue.
