Aditta Saha: The need for caretaker government system has expanded in Bangladesh. In the outline of the 90’s three alliances, it was said that there will be caretaker government for three consecutive terms. Three periods have passed. And the caretaker government cannot be kept forever. No parties till today hadn’t said Election Commission that the main prerequisite for a fair election is an independent and powerful election commission. However, they said about various methods of alternative selection, I was somewhat disappointed by this. There is no basis for our high regard for election culture of Bangladesh. An election culture should be started. First of all, it will happen wrong, but it can be achieved by trying constantly. That is why the demand for caretaker or election-time government is unreasonable. Now the elections should be held just like the constitution. But there is a lot of responsibility on the government; the Election Commission has to work independently. The Election Commission is the main center for the election of any democratic country in the world. According to situation, the army can be used anywhere as a striking in the elections. Police or BGB, who are included in law enforcement agencies are enough. There will be disruption in election, it is very normal. The United States elections are also questioned. We the general public will want to have an acceptable election. To ensure that it is up to the government, Election Commission and opposition parties.
