Power Division Struggling to Fulfill Electricity Demand

General people & the experts are very much enraged at the impotence & inefficiency of Power Division. They are poorly failing to just fulfill 8-10 thousand megawatt electricity demand with over 15 thousand megawatt electricity production capability. Even, highest production was recorded only 9.5 thousand megawatt. Again, daily PDB reports constantly hiding the electricity crisis. By ridiculously claiming that, there is zero megawatt load-shedding nationwide. Power Cell General Director Md. Hossain also confesses about the huge gap between the production capability and actual efficiency. No power-plant should have more than 10-20% inefficiency. While it is over 25% in the case of Bangladesh. Md. Hossain mentioned that, most of these power-plants solely rely on gas. Therefore, gas shortage & inconsistent supply is biggest issue behind the inefficiency.  Fuel Researcher Prof. Dr. Shamsul Alam said, it is near impossible to continue 24 hours’ supply with picking power plants. But, Bangladesh have about 60% picking power plant. While, a country should have 75% base-load power plants and only 22-25% picking power plant.
